A book drive for children affected by Hurricane Michael in the fall of 2018

ABOUT US

Books for the Panhandle was a book drive for children affected by Hurricane Michael in the fall of 2018.

HOW YOU HELPED

Donors from all over the country generously gave over 12,000 books to children in the north Florida panhandle.

OUR PARTNERS

We partnered with small businesses, individuals, and donors across the state of Florida to fulfill and exceed our goals.

Gulf and Jackson Counties

Gulf and Jackson Counties are two small, rural areas that faced severe impacts from Hurricane Michael. Residents lived without power and water for weeks in Michael’s aftermath in the fall of 2018, and students in these counties were unable to return to their schools for weeks.
